Powering Ohio’s Progress
On March 31, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio approved Powering Ohio’s Progress. Our plan is designed to keep future prices in check and support Ohio’s economy.
In recent years, many of Ohio’s largest power plants have closed due to environmental regulations and market pressures. If this trend continues, customers could face higher utility bills and a less-reliable electric system.
The plan will help protect customers against rising electric prices in the years ahead. This would help support the economic viability of Ohio’s essential energy resources while sustaining our state’s recovery from a difficult economy.
Simply put, Powering Ohio’s Progress represents a solid plan for Ohio’s energy future at a time when customers need it the most.
